Although it may not seem like it, there is almost always a way to get through difficult times in your relationship and get back to the closeness you have enjoyed before.
One common cause for relationship problems occurs when some kind of issue becomes a battleground, and you find yourselves having the same arguments over and over again, the only difference often being an increasing intensity. These cycles can become powerfully strong and almost impossible to stop without intervention.
That’s why couples counselling works so well. It helps to have someone in the room who is trained and experienced in identifying these cycles, and helping couples to talk about and resolve issues in ways that support each other instead of attacking each other.
